Welcome to Agape Bible Church

Loving God. Loving people.

Our vision as a church is that each one of us will become a mature, dynamic, and relevant believer in the body of Christ. We desire to be fully integrated into the spiritual house of God. Here we can worship God together freely, fellowship in His presence, be disciplined in the likeness of Christ, eager to be Servants of all, and be equipped to evangelize the world.

If you’ve never visited Agape Bible Church, we hope you’ll come see us this Sunday!  If you have any questions or have trouble finding anything on our site please contact us.

1 Peter 3:19-22New International Version (NIV)

19 After being made alive,[a] he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits— 20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.[b] It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

Today we gather on this special Thursday of The Holy/Passion Week in communion, as Christ did before He departed to the garden of Ghetsemane

Matthew 26:36-46New International Version (NIV)

Gethsemane
36 Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” 37 He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. 38 Then he said to them, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me.”

39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

40 Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. “Couldn’t you men keep watch with me for one hour?” he asked Peter. 41 “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

42 He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

43 When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. 44 So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing.

45 Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners. 46 Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!”

Agape Family - as we go through this week of The Passion, here is a great practical application tool (in both English and Romanian) reminder for each one of us. For those that did not get the page on Sunday, here it is again. A wonderful review of what happened each of the days of the week, and verses to read as a family. Print it out, put it on your fridge. ... See MoreSee Less
